The time has come for the Kona Iron Man Championships competition. This coming Saturday October 12th 2019 from 6;30am to 1pm it happens once again. Our team is volunteering this year during the peak hours in the afternoon. Our community involvement is important to us and a key aspect of making sure that we give back through philanthropy. Many of these top tier athletes rely on us for their Big Island luxury real estate needs be it through luxury home sales or finding the best possible resort properties on the Kohala Coast. We do our absolute best to assist them with all and any needs that we can provide. This year is no different from the rest. Our deep rooted history in the Kohala Coast’s best real estate (oceanfront estates to sweeping golf course views) is what we offer, this is our specialty and we want to bring it for the world to see.
The Iron Man World Championships in Kona has been held since 1978. It has a long standing history of being considered one of the last great races for mankind. The pursuit of the $650,000 prize money purse is on once again. One other incredible race that takes place is the Iditarod in Alaska. As amazing as that event is (and we have been there too), this blog’s main focus is on the Iron Man itself. The World Triathlon Corporation is the main organizer and owner of the event. Each year the extreme endurance exhibited by these phenomenal athletes is only a minor display of what they have been going through leading up to the actual date. The importance of hydration, proper dieting, and just the right amount of mental preparation are all valid ingredients leading up to great results and ultimately winning the entire race.
Luxury Big Island will be present on Saturday volunteering to help our athletes at the stations that assist in hydrating the competitors and providing them with power bars and adequate nutrition. We hope to see you there as we all come together for this great event. Giving up a little bit of our time to a great cause has never felt more rewarding.
